P.N. Ganesh Kumar is the common name that is heard during all types of Yoga activities in Mysore. Mysore is famous for rich heritage including the great lineage of Yoga Gurus like Pattabhi Jois and B.K.S. Iyengar. Ganesh Kumar comes one among the new generation of world famous Yoga Gurus of Mysore.
He was born on February 22nd, 1964 to P.S. Nagesh Rao and N. Shantamma. He holds two degrees – one of commerce (B.Com) and another of law (LL.B.). He has done P.M.E.D, Y.T.T.C (Yoga) and N.I.S (Yoga). A staunch believer of continuous learning, he is currently continuing his education as a Ph.D research scholar.
He is serving in the field of Yoga since 26 years under various capacities in different organisations – both of National and International reputation. He serves as Yoga teacher for Infosys Technologies Ltd, Mysore, where he helps young techies to relax their mind and body. He is also a Yoga teacher at De Paul International Residential School and International Yoga Community. He is currently the President of Mysore Yoga Okkoota, an association of the Mysore Yoga Community. He is the National Coach and National Senior referee at Yoga Federation of India. He is also the Organising secretary at Karnataka State Amateur Yoga & Sports Association, Bangalore.

All these titles, positions and recognition have made him more humble. He has a large following of Yoga students spread across the globe. Ask any of his Yoga students about him, they all remember him for his down to earth attitude in teaching, patience in correcting and his ever open mind in solving the problems of every student. Even ladies from most orthodox families have felt comfortable with his way of teaching Yoga. Young students have benefited from his teaching and have overcome stress, memory and concentration problems.
